About this coffee

An experimental wonder coffee with big juicy fruit and floral tasting notes showing red grape, mango and cherimoya.

  • Country/Region - Colombia, Narino region
  • Variety - Castillo
  • Altitude - 1900m
  • Process - Washed Anaerobic

Anaerobic fermentation is a process where the coffee cherry (the fruit with the coffee bean inside) is fermented without oxygen in closed tanks. When done well, this amplifies the natural flavours of the beans and creates a beautifully clean cup of Joe!

This batch from Colombia shows how outstanding the anaerobic process can be and why it’s become so popular recently.

These beans come from a cooperative that practices sustainable farming and pays a fair price to the growers.
