This coffee comes from the Ishurwe Women's Group, a collective of over 450 women farmers in Burundi's Kayanza Province. Grown at high altitude and carefully washed, it produces a beautifully clean, juicy cup with notes of red berries, rich molasses and delicate black tea.

Behind the Coffee

Ishurwe, meaning "flower" in the local Kirundi language, is a group of around 450 women coffee producers farming the hills surrounding the Izuba washing station. Their cherries are carefully hand-sorted before being pulped, fermented, washed and slowly dried to produce an exceptionally clean and expressive coffee.

Working with import partners committed to fair pay and long-term sustainability, this coffee celebrates both outstanding quality and the dedication of the women who produce it. Expect a vibrant cup with bright berry sweetness, deep molasses richness and an elegant black tea finish.
