Turkey Tail is a common fungus that starts to appear in early autumn and lasts all through winter. It's another wood-rotting fungus, growing exclusively on dead hardwood, and often found in abundance on felled tree stumps. It's colour can range widely, but it always has beautiful rippling layers fanning out from the centre and which give rise to the 'turkey tail' moniker.
